I don't see how that car is worth $11,000...

Seats have been recovered, carpet replaced, steering wheel is out of a later model, and the list goes on...

I doubt it's a real '84 Recaro Edition too....

 

I am the Jason he mentions in the Q&As. He has the service sticker that shows the VIN and Y84 code. Obviously one can only varify by checking the numbers on the car in person to see if they match that VIN. Get a good look at those VIN tag rivets.

Why it went that high, ??? Ebay is strange in addition to being easily manipulated.

You are right about the car being all incorrect. Nice looking car though after the amatuer restoration. I am predicting an ebay Recaro flood after that auction. If I had one, I would dump it now for that money. Wonder what these guys would have bid for a correct car?

 

Probably someone who doesn't know how to check a vin to verify the correct numbers, and doesn'tknow what a Recaro edition should look like. As they warn on Barrett-Jackson, if you don't know what your doing, pay someone who does to check things out. The buyer probably believes the "N.A.D.A." value of $14k+
and thinks he got a real bargain.

 

Well at least he got his money's worth for putting the louvers on the rear and taking them back off and shooting pictures from what looks like sunup to sundown
