Joann Fabric stores carry factory style headliner material. Already has the foam backing. Colors are limited though. Tends to be Black, Grey, Brown. You'll usually find it at the back of the store on large rolls.

That's the easiest place to go. Otherwise, I'd say hit an auto upholstery shop. You can get the headliner spray at the upholstery shop too. You want the adhesive that is heat resistent.

Check UFO or Keystone. If you are in LA area, check United Upholstery Fabric.

I think the A-1 Fabric in Santa Ana that Don reccomended is where he bought his headliner material. He said they had a bigger selection than Joann's. Take a look there when you go for your adhesive. If you want leather, I do a lot of business with DKG Leather in Temple Terrace near Colton. I buy leather kits from them and tools for a kid's camp, but they carry hides as well including dyed leathers in virtually all colors available for upholstery or clothing. They are located right off the Barton Rd exit on the 215 between Riverside and San Bernardino. I don't remember the name of the street, but if you are coming from S. B. in the 215 and get off at the Barton Rd exit, you will go directly onto a street that runs diagonally from the freeway to Barton Rd. If you cross Barton Rd on the street, it will take you back onto the freeway. It probably covers about 3 blocks between the freeway and Barton Rd. DKG is in a strip mall along that street. It would be on your right if coming from S. B. If coming from Riverside, turn left at the end of the Barton Rd off ramp. Go over the freeway and turn right at the first street you come to. DKG will be on your left about half way down.
