OPEN TRACK RACNG

This guy sets up open track racing at Willow Springs. Its something I want to do but his dates and mine haven't meshed yet.

I just want to share my thoughts with you! I’m sure most of you are aware that OTR is not what I do for a living, it’s a way for me to meet nice people and have fun doing what I love...driving fast in a safe environment. OTR has never been much of a moneymaker, it usually loses money. When we make money it’s usually given to some charity, and when we lose money it comes out of my pocket. I don’t mind coming out of pocket to put on events if it’s a small amount, but when it turns into thousands of dollars it stops being fun! In the past few months I have been out tracking with other groups, and in my opinion they fail in comparison with OTR. We have such a good little club I would hate to think of not doing events anymore. I can’t keep doing it all myself. I don’t mind organizing the events, but I’m real tired of sending out email after email for people to sign up for events . I need everyone to help get people to sign up, and sign up EARLY, post events on message boards and websites, and tell others about our club. This isn’t just my club it’s all of yours, we’re all partners. This next event in Sept is empty! I need sign ups today! I feel like most of the time when I send out an email asking for people to sign up early it’s either deleted or they feel it doesn’t apply to them...it applies to everyone. If you are planning on coming to the event please sign up, and please help spread the word to others about the event. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one that cares.

Thanks, Kailo
OPEN TRACK RACING

Our next event is scheduled for Sept 8th & 9th, 2007 on the big track at Willow Springs. This will be our 2nd weekend event, and hopefully not our last. As a favor to me if you are going to attend the event please don’t wait till the last minute to register. The price for the event will be $185 for either Saturday or Sunday, if you sign up for both days the price will be $350. If you sign up in the last 2 weeks before the event the price will be $25 more per day , and if you sign up the day of the event the price will be $50 extra. Basically what I’m asking is for people to sign up early. I know sometimes it’s hard to commit so early, but please try. This event will be run in the same fashion as all previous events. We will have three run groups, beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each run group will get (5) 30 minute run sessions totaling 2 1/2 hours of track time. For all newbies or people who want to attend, we will have classroom instruction followed by on-track instruction. As always, all paid participants will get an all you can eat BBQ lunch and an OPEN TRACK RACING shirt. Please remember that all OTR events are open to all that want to attend, so please tell a friend!

Please help out by registering early! You can get all the information at www.opentrackracing.com , and yes we fixed the Pay Pal so it won't time you out anymore.

Thanks, Kailo
