1990 FORMULA 350 looking for parts
1990 FORMULA 350 looking for parts
Hi there fellow members of third gen. Id like to take a moment and thank those guys that build this site. I just bought my very first V8 about 6 months ago and I have completely falling in love with the muscle car genre. Unfortunately 1 month ago heading south on a main street that has 2 lanes on both sides (south, north) Traveling in the right lane, sum dude decided to exit a shopping center as I was approaching, I was able to prevent from hitting him on the side, long story short he wanted to head south as well so he ends up in the second lane and decides to merge onto MY LANE THUS CAUSING ME TO HIT HIM ON HIS REAR RIGHT RIM. So all of my front drivers side was crushed.
I am looking for:
Fender leftside (driver side)
Bumper cover ( question on this, does anyone know if I put a 1990 gta fender if it will fit)
Headlight (driver side) all components except harness that seems to be ok
and thats about it, My Battery was crushed with the fender stabbed in the battery that has been replaced though with my first Mod. Optimum Battery.
So good news Soon as I did some work took the old fender out a long with the bumper and got that crushed battery out, I put in the new battery and Started like nothing had happen.
Well im rambling on here but once again thanks you guys for building a site and making easier for the newbies. IF anyone knows or has some parts for sale let me know Thank you.

See the sticky thread at the top about "SoCal Thirdgen Friendly Companies." Talk to Thomas at House of Camaro in Los Angeles, and Dave at Thirdgen USA in San Diego. They buy and sell used thirdgen parts and are great to deal with.

I think a Firebird fender will fit but not the TA or GTA because of the grd. effects.

Don is correct, the GTA fender will fit, but will probably have ground effects holes in it. Trans Am fenders have vents behind the front wheel, so would not be right, but will fit. Any v-6 Firebird fender and bumper cover will work fine, giving you much better pickings that for a Trans Am.
Headlights on later Firebirds/Trans Ams, Formulas and GTAs are all the same, look for the same type of headlight motor as you already have. The change over was around ?87? I think..
Good luck.

Your info doesn't show where you are from. I presume t is somewhere here in So Cal. V6 Firebirds are pretty common in the local Pick A Part yards, so you might find the parts you need for a reasonable price at one of the diy yards.
