Hey Guys, now that its summertime, we should set up a 3rd gen get together somewhere in LA or Orange County, maybe Anaheim? A get together and then a cruise. Someone set this up and we could go cruisin in our 3rd gens. Just a thought.

Hey that looks good to me, and be able to see other local 3rd gen guys. And not too far from me either.

If I can score a good deal on tires before then, I'd be up for the Angeles Crest cruise otherwise we might end up sitting at the top for 2 hours waiting for a tow truck again... unless I can borrow Kevin's spare.

I'd be up for a little Sonic action on Saturday afternoon. Anyone?

Not sure, I might have some parts to install, but probably not.

No worries, what I'd really like to do is get a small group together and hit Azusa for a couple of hours Saturday night.Originally Posted by injdinjn

You guys know that there's a thread just below you about a meeting on June 13th starting at 6 (I believe)?
Maybe you should move this cruise to earlier in the day, or sunday June 14th so you won't be interfering with that.
Just a thought, because I would enjoy a cruise but not if it's going to overlap with the meeting.

Mikeys interpertation of a cruise is, "put the cam corder on HS so when you play it back you can see the scenery that was a blur during the "cruise"".
Ive cruised thru azuza/GMR before, but never at night!Dont know if Id be up to speed.

Tony, most of us live in either South L.A. County or even farther South ihn Orange County. the procedure is that you post an event and those who can make it will respond, those who can't won't bother. Most of the guys from Ventura North, don't join us when we do something toward San Diego, no big deal. If you expect everybody to jump on board everytime you post something, it aint happening. I don't mind driving a distance to meet when I'm free, but I don't do cruises in cities EVER. I don't try to drive across Los Angeles on Monday through Friday. You set up a meet in Oxnard the same weekend or the weekend after a major event like the Rim of the World Cruise and drag racing at the L.A. invasion, and you are asking peple to choose between your gathering and the LA Invasion. This is a very active club that does a lot of events considering how spread out we are, but you have less than 106 posts total on this board and I find your attitude insulting.

Ah yes… that’s exactly what I thought you meant. You remind me of one of those boys at the river that has never been on a jet ski before yet after a couple of hours of riding one, he becomes an absolute authority on how to ride one. When in actuality, an 8 year old with a year of riding under his belt would embarrass you in a flat out run.
You think that just because you have a MySpace link and are able to get a handful of cars together in a Target parking lot that everyone needs to stop and take notice of you? LOL! Take a look at join dates of the members in this forum, 8-10 years ago. So if the information on your MySpace page is correct it would indicate that you were between the ages of 14-16 when the majority of key members in this forum first signed up. I’m not taking a shot at you; all I’m offering is perspective. Now let’s take a look at your join date of October of 07, 9 months. Most members have better than 1,000 posts; you have a little over 100.
I will tell you straight; this is an extremely tight group of enthusiasts. If you have a genuine interest in meeting us then come to a couple of events/meetings. This will give you the opportunity to introduce yourself and meet each of us. Trust me, this will work much better then hijacking threads with your fliers.
Congratulations on the success of your club, please know that you and any of your members are welcome to join our meetings/events anytime.

i think much about that Grey Goose about the MySpace thing, i just wanted to create something that we all love just to make it better and about gathering up in a target parking lot well thats where we all mett and we head out to malibu or so and hang out and get some grub and evrything i told the rest of my crew about even having meats in santa monica or in that are or so to see if we gather up more people to come by, or so. im not trying to disrespect anyone on here we all love and drive the same vechcles well not technaclly but you get what i mean and as i told Russ-So Cal i'll do the same for you i apologize for speaking out of my a-s-s, well friends and all know me for that , so yeah. hopefully sometime in the future events i could show up and introduce myself in a right way to all of you guys that i will meet there but till then have a good day sir.Originally Posted by Grey Goose

I have seen people who have been here for years and are well known, try to set up a meet or cruise and nothing happens.
Sometimes everyone just doesn't cooperate, and some days, eveyone shows up!
I'd say just set up a date, and so what if 2 people show up or 20.

Hey Tony, it's cool. Expect to see a lot of Mustangs. People who want to buy their hot rod rather than build it will buy what is new. The Mustang stayed in production when G.M. killed the F-body. Who knows if the new Camaro will be more than a one year wonder with the bk of GM and all. The original Third Gen club here in So Cal started because a few guys with Third Gens got fed up with rich kids buying brand new 4th gens and having them professionally hot rodded and then ragging on Third Gen owners. From your pics it looks like you have some nice cars showing up at your gatherings in Oxnard. You don't need an invite to join us. Anybody who posts on this board is welcome to come to the meetings or join us for any of our activities. The one thing to keep in mind about planninig anything is to give it enough lead time for people to make plans and fit it in their calendars. Also look at what is already on the schedule, and don't plan a competing event the same weekend or plan a big event in the same month as another big event. If the events are spread over the course of the year, the attendance tends to be better.

get what you mean on that bro, i wasent even awear of what was goind down for last moth untill i started reading about the LA Invasion thing, i did wonder about people not showing up cause of that event, so yeah.

So it appears that I have nothing to do on Sat.
What time do you want to do this.
So it appears that I have nothing to do on Sat.

Cuz I am in the city of Santa Ana, near city of Orange. So maybe we should have a south LA and North OC kinda get together which would be much easier than making people drive a while to get to the location. Of course if anyone wants to make the drive they are more than welcome too. Main street here in Santa Ana is always fun to cruise, lots of people in the streets, sometimes music, and energy in the air. So is Bristol St., I take my 88 Monte Carlo down there with some homies and cruise. We could meet up in a parking lot and chat and see eachothers cars and grab something to eat then cruise. Just a suggestion.
Supreme Member
Cruises don't work in the city if you have more than 2 or 3 cars in the group. Traffic lights break up the cruise and soon nobody knows where the group went. If the planned cruise is just down the same street, I pass. As I posted earlier, I don't cruise in any city at any time. When we go on a cruise we usually do at least 150-200 miles on the route, so driving extra miles to get there isn't a big deal. That is also why we limit the number of cruises. With gas prices, some folks can't afford to cruise every weekend.

This cruise is not a thirdgen event. Its put on by another board and we are joining them. We should be done in plenty of time for our meeting.Originally Posted by Tpx

Thanks for clearing that up, sounds good.
So who's showing up for the ACH cruise?
Supreme Member
Apparantly no one
Way to show the LS1 crowd 3rd gens can hang with them.
It should be the other way around!
Should be, but since none of us is gonna be there!!
Supreme Member
having a lil meet on the 27 let me know if any of you guys are interested?
The ACH cruise was pretty good. It cleared up at the top of the mountain. I think I was the only third gen. There were a couple fourth gens and some GTO's, but it was a big mix of cars from neon's to vette's.
