I am reposting this for southern California Because I belove every Californian should know:

At work today I recived an "E.T. Blast" on the smog machine I went on line tohttp://www.smogcheck.ca.gov/pubwebqu...aspx?year=2010 and could not find it, mabe it will show up in the next few days. But Here it is:

Vehicle Retirement Expansion
August 12, 2010

"Effective immediately the Bureau of Automotive Repair,
Consumer Assistance program is expanding the vehicle retirement option to
include off-cycle vehicles. Eligible consumers may retire their vehicle for $1,00 at any time for any reason.

A supply of new applications will be
sent to you for distribution to consumers. Applications can be obtained online at www.smogcheck.ca.gov. If you have any questions regarding the change please contact our office at
(916) 255-0719 or toll free at (866) 272-9642"

So now no used car in California is worth less than $1000

 

so instead of trying to sell my car for ~1500 i can strip all the sellable parts from it and retire it?

edit: nevermind i don't qualify...stupid rules and regs...
