hello
well im new to the site, bought my 1989 firebird formula about a week ago and have been loving it ever since, been looking for parts addons oem etc and found this site, so i read threw for about an hour and decided to join haha. will post pics up tomorrow after work.

Welcome to TGO, you'll find just about everything there is to know about Third Gens here. Are there any Third Gen clubs in the Bakersfield area? It's always good to network with other Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts nearby.

idk yet, im hoping to find one soon, if theres any bakersfield members on here that know of any then give me a shout. anywho not planned to do to much for it, changing the rims thats for sure haha, youll understand why when you see pics, and wanna newer interior design, will also post specs up for it too, not to shabby thow, she still gets it for having 217000 miles on her, no rebuild.

plans are mostly cosmetic for now, interior stuff rims paint, i need to put tires and brakes in it but its not a big thing yet, but that'll be first.
engine has just over 217000 miles on it, its using alot of oil, i put five quarts in it and withing the week i had to put five more quarts, i plan on buying a new engine, probably will go with the tpi setup ive been reading on the smog laws and what would be needed and i think for price and hp gain it would be worth it but not 100% on it yet.

How did it pass a smog test using that much oil. I think vehicle have to be smogged when title is transfered exp when between family.

idk passed with flying colors, ill have to scan the printout and ost it, got a nice little parts car for the interior, its an 89 camaro z28, all im takign is the interior, and some exterior things, will post a pic of it in a couple days when i get a chance, already got the center console in, looks alot better then the old falling apart firebird console, only had to make a few modifications to it and it slipp right in.

anyone in the bakersfeild area, i see alot of camaros, not to many firebirs exept my cousins but she doesnt count haha, anyways let me know if theres anyone else in my neck of the woods.
