I need advice

I am most likely buying a 84 305 berlinetta and i was wondering if i got edelbroke street legal cam, intake, carb street legal headers and exaust will it pass smog and will it be worth all the money i put into it.

If every one of those parts has a C.A.R.B. O.E. # you should pass smog with no problem assuming everything is running fine and all other smog equipment is intact.

As far as it being worth the money that's really up to you. Look at the price of the car plus the price of the parts and compare it to another thirdgen's sale price and see which one is more favorable in money vs. power. Depending on the asking price of the Berlinetta you might be better off spending the money for the car and the mods on just a newer year Z28 or IROC and not odifying it yet. Maybe not... Just check out all possibilities before you plunk down your hard earned cash for any car...

It will pass smog, and here's the edelbrock part #'s that are street legal for that year LG4:

Thanks for all the info guys

I think i will buy the car because they only want $900 and it passed smog recently also i work at autozone so i was lookin up some of those parts and we carry them so i can get a discount on my intake manifold, n.o.s., and other stuff also i heard about someone at work making there 3rd gen into a 383 and still have it pass smog and be completly legal is that posible.
