jack car up, take wheel off(loosen lugs of course before jacking) basically two bolts on back of caliper. mine are both allen heads, forgot exact size. take off bolts, take off caliper, paint it while you're at it. i use a large c clamp and a piece of scrap metal to compress pistons in caliper. pretty self explanatory when you're doing it. replace pads. put everything back together. call it a day. oh yeah use a coat hanger to suspend caliper so it doesn't rip your brake lines out.

If it's making a lot of noise now because the pads are shot then you may have to repalce the rotors if they're gouged up or at least have them turned if they're not to thin. Otherwise they'll just wreck your new pads.
Also, while you've got it all apart - repack the bearings and make sure you follow the proper procedure when you tighten them.
