Long tube headers and Spogn torque arm.
Has anyone had any trouble with the exhaust clearance with full length headers and a spohn torque arm? It's not the headers that are in the way. It's the custom Y-pipe that I had made with exhaust cutouts in it. The new tranny crossmember hangs down too far and I can't bolt the exhaust up. Steve Spohn told me to clearance the angles but I would have to really hack it up to make it work. Also, the drive shaft safety loop is too far down.
Are there any other adjustable torque arms out that won't have clearance issues? I do need the safety loop and would rather the TA mount not be on the tailshaft but on the cross member just like the spohn one. I really don't want to redo the exhaust again because it was a pain in neck to get the shop to work on it in the first place cause of no cat. converter. The guy didn't want to do it but I talked him into it. I'm thinking of selling the spohn TA with the loop.

I cut the part of the torque arm where it hangs down. I used a saws-all and it turned out nice after I ground the rough edges off and painted it. If you do that you should have room for your y-pipe, mine fits well after I did that. Depending on how your driveshaft loop is made, I've seen some solid and some that bolt together from spohn..if you have the bolt together kind then put some washers between the two sides and space it apart.
