I currently have an 82 Camaro Z28 the passenger side tire has Gouges in the side wall I asume from bottoming out .It has ruined two sets of tires. What springs could I use to stiffen up the rear. Why only one side is possible the spring is completely shot on that side.Is it possible It's shocks I changed over to KYB GR 2"s a couple years ago.Any suggestions.Would really like to put on a set of drag radials but not if the side is going to be all eaten up. PLEASE Help.

You could modify your bump stops and make them larger say an inch or two... you'll be losing travel and you'll bottom out more, but you'll save the tires. Stiffer springs would help, but the shocks really just dampen the springs, they don't do as much as the springs do.

Looks like your springs are completely shot. Have a look at them to see if they have snapped a coil off or something obvious like that. I suggest you buy a new set of springs. If you need the part number for them, search the boards for it.

Check with some of the shock manufacturers, there are some stiffer springs out there. good luck.
By the way are those wheels Torq-Thrust II's ? what size?

I'm not sure if you want used springs but I have a set of front springs off my 84 Trans Am. they are pretty stiff. I swapped all my stuff out for ws6 but it turns out that the springs that were in my car were they same I just put in. sounds dumb I know but if you want the pair cheap you can have them for $10.00 plus shipping from Kasson Minnesota 55944. not sure how much they weigh. I just had to go weigh the springs. they weigh 11 lbs each unpacked. maybe another pound or two after packing

In addition to the springs I'd also check the alignment of the rear end. Sounds like you might need an adjustable panhard bar.
