No rear brakes?
I just had a quick question for everyone here with rear disc brakes. Both my 86 IROC with the crappy delco rear calipers, and my friend's 89 GTA with the better PBR's both keep getting kicked off Arizona's stupid IM240 style emissions test. The cars are both automatics and as soon as they start the cars put em in gear the rear tires start to turn. They step on the brakes harder, the wheels slow to a stop. Then the kid hops out and says "I can't test your car; you don't have any rear brakes. Funny they seem to stop the car fine from 120, the E-brake holds the car. I even bled the system, replaced the brake pads, mic'd the rotors etc. Tried again no go.
Is anybody else having this problem with their cars. I am going nuts with this, I just did a ton of emissions (de-tuning) to this car and they won't even test it!!! HELP PLEASE

Might try this:

I haven't had any problems yet with this "fix".
The rears will lock easily when up in the air.
If nothing else, you could do it and then un-do it after the inspection.

Both cars have the factory brakes, he got someone to get his through the test yesterday. Thanks for the link ZZ28ZZ I'm gonna get some washers tomorrow and see what happens. I just got done doing a new master on the car, and bled the system again with no luck. Hopefully that spring wore out and the shims will help.
Again thanks for the input will let ya know.
