9 bolt brakes on 10 bolt rear end
Hi,
I bougt a wrecked 86 firebird for parts for my 1956 pickup, I'm using the TPI engine, transmission, etc. I was just wondering if anyone knew if I could use the disk brakes off of the 9 bolt rear end from the firebird on my 10 bolt corporate rear end out of a 1978 camaro? I would love to have 4 wheel disk brakes on my truck, but I want to be able to find parts for the rear end (that won't make me broke). Any help would be great!

You'll have to modify the "backing plate" since the disk brake mount is mounted to the diff housing differently than a drum brake setup.
