I was wondering. Do I get my frame checked for flex at a body shop or is there a seperate shop that does frames? What kind of shop would that be called? Just a frame shop? If so, can anybody recommend a good body shop and frame shop around the New York New Jersey area? Preferably in the NYC area please. Thanks.

Your frame will flex, all frames do. Is your question maybe that it is flexing excessively? then you should take it to a body shop that specializes in frame work and have it inspected for cracks or rust.

I know all frames flex from the torque of the motors and other factors. I just want to have my frame checked to see if it has flexed permanently in the car's 12 year life. Basically, I want to check how far off the frame's specs are from when it left the factory. In the meantime, I'm also going to get some minor flaws with the body fixed. But yeah, all I want to do is check the condition of my frame now. Can anybody recommend one around the NY/NJ area? Thanks.

I would suggest you phrase it to them as " is the frame tweaked or bent." I believe the term " flexed permanently" is an oximoron (flex and permanent kind of contradict eachother). It either flexes back or it is bent.
