Third Gen Suspension

I have a '83 Z28 project car and it makes noises like crazy when going over any kind of bump. The car feels very loose. It sounds like its about to fall apart. I think it might be the bushings. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Maybe tighten some things down. If so...What?

If it's a high mileage car think, the suspension is approaching 20 years old! Time for a complete front end rebuild, probably new springs, shocks and all bushings. The stuff is probably just flat wore out. Also check for cracks around were the steering box bolts to the front sub-frame. 3rd gens have been know to develop problems in this area.
Probably not what you wanted to hear but it's da truth!

Subframe connectors helped my 82 a lot. Shocks, struts, worn springs, sway bar bushings, etc.... The old 82 is 20 years old this year.
