Tilt Steering Column

I was drivin my car today and well the nice tilt steering column basically broke off into my hands save a few wires and such. So basically heres the question.. is there anyway to fix this besides replacing the whole column? anybody know?

what exactly broke, a little more details might help. you might be able to fix it and replacing it might be a better choice
