Econamical Shocks
Econamical Shocks
I depsrately need new shocks (struts too - just not as bad). I am not looking to spend top dollar, or high performance, i just need a solid shock that will do its job. Anything will be stiff compared to what i got now! What is everyone's suggestions for cheaper replacement shocks?
KYB or Monroe. Those are about as cheap as they're going to get while being stiff.
The alternative is something like Gabriels, which are good replacement shocks, but not for performance vehicles...

I've heard about KYB's. They seem reasonably priced, but I was hoping for cheaper. Like I said, they dont have to be sweet shocks... How are Monroe's? You say they are kinda stiff? How's the price comapared to KYB's? About the same?

Try Tenneco's 'Heavy-Duty Gas' shocks. Same brand as Monroe, a lot cheaper. They're pretty stiff, but not a performance shock by any means.
