hello, just wondering what the value of this rear axle is. i can't decide if i should repair the car or part it out. axle is out of an 88 iroc with a 350tpi vin code 8. thanks, tom

 

You should be able to get anywhere from $200 to $400 for it, assuming that you can demonstrate that the posi works.

If I weren't selling my IROC (just bought a '98 Z28/M6), I'd probably be haggling with you right now.

 

I got a price of $350 for a complete '89 3.27 9 bolt but it does have PBR calipers and not the '88 iron non-working ones. I just sold my complete disc to disc 2.77 for $200 and am happy to get it.

Update: I just saw an asking price of $450 for an '89 9 bolt 3.27 with the PBR brakes...that's outrageous!!!

 

ok guys i have a 9-bolt 3.27 posi rear out of a 88 gta andi wunna kjnow wuts wrong with the disk brakes and wut i need to fix them. also are they unsafe the way they are now?

 

well, i decided to part out the 88 iroc. it has the 3.27 posi 9 bolt rear with disc brakes. everything seems to work (you just need to use the e-brake every now and then to adj. them). let me know if you are looking for anything. thanks, tom
