I was wondering if i were to buy a 3rd gen strictly based on it's handling characteristics should i get a GTA, WS6, or an Iroc, or something else. And should i go for a 5-speed or an automatic.
i'm looking for something that would have a good base for upgrades. but still street legal.

 

Well if your gonna redo the suspension those cars are all pretty much the same then. The T-5 (standard trans) is a weak trans though...but since your not going for power and more suspension then it would probably last good. Over all standard is better then auto. More control and what not.
