Suspension and Chassis Questions about your suspension? Need chassis advice?

Just found out there are no nuts on my Tarm bolts!

Just found out there are no nuts on my Tarm bolts!

I was painting the bottom of my car and noticed that the Torque arm has 2 boldts that connect it to the rear axle............... the bolts are in there ..BUT THERES NO NUTS!!! ...the car handles like crap... could this be the prob????

when i do find some nuts for it .............will it improve my ride???

this is a prime example why the bolts always go in from the top, with the nuts on the bottom.

Nah that wouldnt affect handling all that much although it would alittle. Next time I suggest some loc tite so that it stays on there better.

The nuts are a metric self-locking nut (self locking does not mean foolproof) so I would suggest getting new nuts AND bolts from G.M. Since there have been no nuts on there the bolts may be damaged - and it won't cost too much for some extra insurance to be sure everything is solid back there. And yes - some red loctite is not a bad idea.

sounds like a good idea....i was thinking of just getting the rust off of the bolt..but.................i think ill do what you suggested....
