Subframe Connectors

I'm looking to get a pair of SFC's for my 90' trans am, and I was wondering everyones opinion on which are the best. The tech article on the KB SFC's sounds a little discouraging, but it seems to me like the 3-point version would do a better job. Is it really difficult to install the Kenny Brown's, or are they no better than any other brand? If so what do you reccomend?

I know there are lots of posts on SFC's, but I can't find one on what people think are the best. (they're all talking about specific products)

Most people state that Spohns are the best, I haven't heard much about his tubular version or whatnot, but I know alot of people like his boxed versions. Plenty of people like Kenny Browns and also Alstons... There are many that even like the jegsters.

I don't think you going to find a best, but instead pick one with your price range and read what you can on installation problems. Any of them will make a world of difference on the car.

Check out Competition Engineering for SFCs. I installed a set on my 84 Z-28 and I wouldnt look back. The only change I made to them is the tube that goes from the front sill to the center frame was changed to a 10mm piece of flat steel. You can also attach it to the floor pan if you like using bolts. I chose to bolt mine in, but they could be changed to weld also. No need for that. I am very happy with the results.

So will the Global West and Alstons.

I had Road Tech add a crossbar to tie
the two together. A rear plate will
also be added when I get my new motor running.

Here's some pics (bottom of page).
