Easiest way to figure out sway bar size.
I tried using a crescent wrench, but the biggest one in MM I had was 19 and the biggest in standard was 7/8. Any other way, to find out btw I am horrible with math (i.e. reading a tape measure, one thing I never passed in shop). Is there a good crescent wrench set that'd go up to 36 MM and 1 1/2"? I'm wanting to buy some susp stuff, but I gotta know how big my sway bars are before I can order. Thanks.

you can buy a micrometer for $3-$10, that's what i did. the method of wrapping string or a tape measure around it isn't really accurate because you may have rust or other build up on the bar which will skew the measurement much more than with a micrometer. if you do use a string, measure the length of it that it takes to wrap around the bar and then divide that number by pi (3.14) which will get you the diameter.

Your combo is probably a 34/24 (at least that's what my 85 IROC was). The 36/24 combo didn't arrive on Camaros until '89.
