bumpy steering??????
SORRY...I meant this post to reply to the bump steer post and not stand alone....ugh!
This kit (or one you fab up yourself) corrects the incorrect steering arm height or the wrong angle of the steering arms in the uprights, by spacing the tie rod end up or down in relation to the steering arm. Its impossible to correct a tapered tie rod end (u can only bend the steer arm) and easy to correct a spherical rod end.
You can check your cars front suspension to see if your car has bump steer and how much. Bump is a change of toe in/out and camber as the wheel and tire move from full up to full down in their travel. Its kinda (read real) hard to travel the suspension with the front springs in...but it can be done.
Take two dial indicators and place them in the front/rear axis of the brake rotors toward the edge on the outer face to check toe changes.....take the same two indicators and place them at the top and bottom axis of the caliper for camber change. plot the change curves.....the important areas are 2 " above and below ride height. Zero is good......and sometimes unobtainable..... plan on half a day if you have the proper fixture with indicators.
