Tube the rear?

Would it be legal to drive my camaro on the street with the rear tubed? Also, can you guys post some pics of 3rd gens with tubed rears?

there are no laws against tubbing a car to put bigger tires on that i'm aware of.

Tubbing a third gen isn't really a backyard job. There's a lot of work involved.

Driving on the street depends on local traffic laws. The #1 law enforced anywhere is that the tires cannot stick out past the fenders. Tubbing usually doesn't have that problem. After that it's the argument about street legal tires. Full slicks will probably get a ticket. MT Sportsman Pros would have to problems.

you just named the tires i was planing on using i'm going to have a shop tube the rear for me (i lack the equipment and space needed for that kinda job...) but figure i can do the sheet metal work to cover it all up myself, i just needed to know if it was a big violation of any laws before i get it done
oh yeah, pics? have any? know where to find some?
