no clue about front suspension
no clue about front suspension
I need your help third geners. I was making a left turn and some guy slammed into the front passenger fender. I towed it back to my house and when I pulled the wheel off and noticed the steering knuckle snapped in half and the strut had broke. The problem is is that the right wheel is turned out a bit when the steering wheel is straight. I have to hold the steering wheel to the left about a quarter of a turn to keep the car straight. If I make a right turn the back of the tire scraps the inner wheel well. The balljoints looked good as well as the tie rods. Is this just an alignment issue or am I going to have to drop some big bucks to get this fix. I plan on taking it in to a shop, but I just want to get a heads up. Any help will be appreciated boys.
depends...something else could be bent, if you don't see anything else damaged in there just get it aligned. If it hit hard enough to break the knucle..... seems like any other damage would be obvious. But if everything looks normal an alignment should fix it.
