1LE track width

Hi everybody! I would like to install the Baer 13" Track front brakes on my '90 IROC and was wondering if anyone knows for sure how much the front track width would be increased? Baer told me it would be the same as the 1LE brakes but didn't know the exact dimensions. I've read all past posts I could find and saw everything from no change to as much as 1/2" per side. Please help!

i'm not sure i understand...are you asking how far it pushes the wheels out?

this will vary on the model or at least the rotor....i'm sure someone can tell about the single piece rotor...as for the two piece i will tell you when i recieve mine here in the next two weeks or so.

i was to understand that it wasn't more than 1/4 though.

The 13 inch Baer track kit with one piece rotors will widen the front track 4/10 inch per side.

Baer tech support gave me the info, and I confirmed it when I put the one piece rotor track kit on my IROC. I didn't get any info on the two piece rotor kit, but it should be about the same or a little bit wider front track. The only difference of the one piece vs the two piece rotor that I can think of would be the thickness of the rotor hat where it goes over the wheel studs. As far as I know they are both adapted from the ZR1 Vette brakes.

Thanks for the responses. I have since talked to someone else at Baer and they confirmed that each front wheel will be moved out .400 inches which is almost exactly 10mm. Now I have to go measure and make sure my 9" wide front wheels won't stick out of the fender!

now if you would have bought a mustang and gotten a 2 piece rotor it goes exactly the other way so you'll need spacer???

go figure...i hope it isn't the same with our cars. i actually could use that extra spacing out.
