You can but you will need the correct 9 bolt backing plates for those brakes, and new rotors. Contact AndyZ28 for them. You can go about it by doing other ways, but I recommend doing it "right".

Do you think i will need any other parts to do this? I have the origional parking brake cables, calapers and roters from the 96 .Should I use a set of flex lines from the 96? What about hard lines? Will these brakes be the same, better or not as good as the PBR brakes?

Since the 9 bolt was a disc rear, you can use those hard lines. I recommend getting new flex lines since they're cheap and why use old parts here? Then just use the '96 brake parts.

What year is your car? You may need to get a set of '89 disc brake e-brake cables since your car (depending on year) will have a different style brake adjuster than the '96 car and lines will.

These brakes ARE PBRs so they will be JUST as good...

The only problem I see you having is the e-brake stuff. Maybe you can find a guy who has done this swap and get more hints.
