help me with my tire leaks...please
Picked up a set of wheels /tires back in Sept '02 . Finally received them a few weeks ago ( long @$$ ordeal involving an ebay seller and his local law enf..). Anyways, when they arrived I noticed 3 of them were low on air or flat. So I thought the non use of them might have killed the air pressure. Well, today I thought I'd give them a cleaning up after bring the air pressure back up to standards. So as I washed off the brake dust and road grime i noticed two of them bubbling air. One tire had it flowing out around a wheel weight and another had it coming from what looked like a plug repair. The third , i could not tell if it was leaking. So ... whats in order to stop the leaks, anyone ? Oh yeah, the fourth .... it arrived holding air pressure, but is cut round and round many times with pieces of rubber missing (looks like it spun many times with a crunched fender resting on it). Figures.... after all the bulls hit it took to get them. Still have a claim with Ebay on this dude for the damage and missing items( lug nut covers). Anyone out there actually have Ebay side with them as a buyer involing a fraud claim... just wondering?

Sorry to hear about your problem with Ebay. Take them to a reputable "Tire" store and have them look them over. The one leaking around the wheel weight may only need remount and balance to fix it, but you may just want to pick up a new set of tires.Your safety is more important than a few dollars.
langss, Don't get me wrong . I like Ebay and use to frequent there often. But when some joker sits on a buyers money, they should "crack the whip" immediately and take the seller out until things are made good. I'm gonna give Ebay their chance to do right. I don't expect it to happen though. This lowlife some how even convinced Ebay to erase the negative feedback I left.... And to all, thanks for the flat tire advice
Tough luck on your E-bay buy. Now you bought the wheels and not the tires I hope. So the tires are crap and no bonus on the buy. Bite the bullet, dismount and junk the tires. Clean the wheels and buy new rubber. Sorry thats my advice.
