Probably not related to your dilema, but I have buddies that bought the Moroso trick springs for the fronts of there rides (all G-bodies BTW) and all were put in the front. None were cut! When first installed the front end appeared higher-after about 3 weeks the front end ended up coming down about 2" Something to keep in mind, but might not necessarily relate to your situation.

I put them in uncut. The front end height is about stock. If I had to do it again, I'd cut half to a full coil off. But that all depends on how YOU want your car to sit. And my car did not drop no 2 inches after they settled.
I just use V6 front springs. They key is to use springs that have a spring rate that's in relation to the weight that's on them. If the car is too heavy, then a light spring rate will compress too much.
You need to know how much weight is only on the front axle. 3400 pounds total weight doesn't mean much when finding the spring weight required for the front.
My car "was" roughly 1800 pounds on the front and 1400 pounds on the rear. Still nose heavy but not as bad as a factory car. After my winter projects I need to get it weighed again. The front end should have lost some more weight.
