What are some suggestions for welding frame on my camaro? It is broke because the lack of the wonder bar. I have both a mig and a Stick welder. I would like some suggestions on the rod size and the temp to set the welder for this job. I dont want to burn to hot, and do more damage than good.

 

use the GMAW and you'll get lot better results. stick is too hot, too uncontrolable for welding the frame.

 

Mig with sheilding gas not flux cored ( GMAW ) . the settings are different on most welders. The unitbody is pretty thin, 16 gauge or so. Look inside the panel or in the documentation for the welder. start there and fine tune as you go. It might be a good idea to get som esheet metal of similar thickness and practice.
