my question is if it matters if the emergency break is on while bleeding brakes?

I was bleeding the front brakes but had the back emergency brake on. After awhile i had great pressure in the peddle so i lowered the car and release the emergency break. Now it has no pressure. Was this from the emergency break? Do i need the bleed the rear to get pressure back?

Leave the emergency brake off.Start by bleeding the caliper furthest away from the master cylinder, which on our cars is the passenger rear, then driver rear, then pass front and finally driver front.Make sure you have no air bubbles left when you're pupming the fluid through.
Hope this helps
