Anybody have KB SFC's read this please....
Got my new KB SFC's but I think there MIGHT be a problem. I opened the box and the passenger side SFC looks bent. The "main" bar doesnt look bent its the "other" bar that looks bent. Sorry I really cant explain in detail what Im talking about. At first I blamed Year One for bad packaging but then a friend of mine suggested that it may be bent like that for a reason. I took his advice and thought about it...My conclusion is this.....the bar is bent that way so it will go over the cats without hitting them.... What do you guys think?
TIA

the pass side off all our subfram connectors is bent, it has to be to follow the contour of the floor pans on our cars, if you look at the shape of the floorpan you will notice that the drivers side is completly straight, but the pass. side is contoured so there was room for the cat. (thus the infamous pass foot rest

. I got Hotchkis SFC's and the pass side SFC is completely straight....It better not cause I problem..I guess thats why I have to move my CAT over to make room for it...I'll see when I test fit them later in the week.

If you go to the Kenny Brown site and look at the picture for the 3rd gen connectors, their SFC's have an extra piece that the Hotchkis don't; they look like a "Y." I believe the bend the guy is referring to is the part of the "Y" that goes over the convertor. I just installed the passenger side one and it fits the car perfectly (though the exhaust pipe comes too close to the rocker and will need some modification). Sorry, did not think to get pictures of that spot.
