12" rotor vs. 13" rotor?
Obviously a lot of people rave about the 1LE brake setups, and I can see them being very similar to the 98+ F-body brakes looking at caliper design and rotor diameter. Baer also offers 12" and 13" brake setups.
The most directly comparable application I can think of is the C5 Corvette vs LS1 F-body, the only main difference in the front brakes is the rotor size. Do the C5's stop that much better?
And lastly, does any aftermarket company sell a 13" rotor individually, with the hub assembly built into it like stock 3rdgen/1LE stuff? (Intstead of the slip on rotors that all the late model cars use.) This is what the Baer brake setups use, but I don't know if they're offered seperately, and even if they are, it probably wouldn't be very cheap. Maybe it would be worthwhile to machine the stock rotors into just a hub and use a ZR1 rotor or something along those lines, if someone were to attempt a 'budget' 13" brake setup.
Seeing a 4thgenner's 13" ZR1 rotor/PBR caliper setup made me think.. why doesn't anyone with a 3rdgen do this? Just not beneficial enough? I don't think machining adapter brackets would be that difficult.

Do a search, this has been discussed before.
I have been thinking about doing the same thing. Here is a post on how you should be able to mount them.
