Hmm...rear suspension question/problem

I just installed lowering springs, new KYB shocks, and an adjustable panhard bar on the rear of my 91 RS. Now the rear of the car gives off this clanking noice when I go over bumps at lower speeds. Any ideas what it moght be. I think it is the lowering springs making the noice since the rear end doesn't keep constant pressure on them like the old springs had so they might be moving around or something. ?????

did you put the rubber isolator back in with the new springs?

Yeah I did but they could have fallen out since the rear springs are not as tightly held in as the old one because they are shorter. Is that possible?

possibly. but doubt it unless you did not tape them to the springs. i put some suspension techniques springs in an 84 ta w/o them. made lots of noise. put new ones in and made it all better.

Have you re-checked all those suspension bolts to make sure they're still at the proper torque spec?

Also, check out your exhaust's intermediate pipe (catalytic convertor to muffer), make sure it's not getting bent up by the shorter clearance in the "V" between the panhard rod and track bar brace.
