shocks and struts
shocks and struts
Have a 89 firebird and had the shocks and struts replaced. Can't tell no difference. Every little bump I hit It feels as if I'm ridding in a wagon. What would be the best to get for a smooth ride so when that when I do hits small bumps and not rattled to pieces? Thanks
Buy and Cadillac and don't drive through pot holes
Seriously though, these cars weren't designed for grandma drivers, good handling is a trade of for a rough ride on bad roads...
What kind of shocks and struts did you use?

Is your car lowered? Do you have the stock aspect ratio tires on it?
If it is lowered with "rubber-band" tires on it, it will ride rougher.
I lowered mine and put 245 45 17s on my car and the ride is much rougher, but I was going for response and that is exactly what I got.
I also replaced all bushings on the car at the same time.
Did you replace your bushings? If you replaced them with higher performance ones, the ride is a little rougher.
