Here is the problem. After medium to hard braking and coming to a full stop I feel and hear this weird vibration. If I slow down very gradually and come to a stop it won't do it.

If it is happening and I let off the brake and roll a few inches then stop again the vibration remains.

However, when it happens and I shift into neutral it stops imediately. If I then shift it back into drive the vibration is still gone. I really don't know what is causing the problem. Any ideas?

check for loose or worn out idler arm. my cars front end shakes vilentoy once in while if I make a panic stop. I am 90% sure its my idler arm. its so worm out. Check for any loose or worn out suspoension componets in the front. cehck for a broken belt in one of the tires, makes sure your tires are balenced too

Wow, nice looking Camaro!

Thanks for the advice but this vibration occurs as I'm sitting at a stop with the car idling in gear. It's a wierd harmonic vibration that only occurs after moderate to hard braking. If I ease to a stop it doesn't happen. Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Check and make sure your calipers aren't sticking. make sure the sliders are easy to move and allow the caliper to uncompress. I'd check lateral runout on the rotor if possible and check for glazed (blueish colored) areas which indicate high heat (or sticking caliper). Also check the tierod ends. The knuckles in these are notorious for getting loose and sloppy. Make sure there is no play at either side with the car jacked up. If there is see what is allowing movement of the wheel and take care of it.
