Sorry I don't have a good picture on hand of the yellow-zinc plated version. It is the same finish and done for me by the same vendor that plates the greasable front sway bar brackets and 1LE end link kits for me. There are good pictures of the finish on those products on my web site.
FYI, I'm holding the Group Puchase for the 105021 Steering Braces open until 11/10. Order 105021-GP to get the special $42 price on either powder-coated Gloss Black or Gloss Red.
Thanks,

Hey guys, I have a problem with my front suspension sometimes. When I turn hard coming out of a parking space my right front pops and feels like the tire slides. Do you think this wonder bar will help that?
Thanks.
Thanks.

so...
mine does too, my suspension is fine, the problem is normal and not a problem, when you are at full lock(turned all the way) you are gonna feel it hop or squeal depending on the surface, but its cause the car wants to drive strait and the wheels are facing a direction very diferent from thatit doesnt happen unless you are turned all the way, right, think of it this way when you are going 50 and you want to turnand the tire hops and squeals, nothings wrong with the car, just not a great handler, nothing new parts are gonna do(not upgrades) this is a momentum variable thing but it still gives you an idea, the car will do what you described because thats the way it is, i have been told you shouldnt to turn full lock any way, not sure why but i do it sometimes any way oh well
i would have to disagree. i would think that something is broken, like the ball joint, because that car shouldnt hop. i can understand the squeal at full lock, i think every car does that, however, if somehting is "hopping" i would not beleve that is normal. i still would suggest to look for a broken or worn part.
EDIT: o ya, i think i know what blackgold84 meant by hopping. i dont think it is what iroczrockz meant about hopping. blackgold is talking about going at speed whereas iroczrockz is talking about going slow.

Yeah, I was talking about turning my wheels all the way to the stops and then it does it. The only thing is, my car did that when it was brand new too. So I don't think there is anything wrong with the suspension. Glad to hear that it isn't just me though. Blackgold you did mean slow too didn't you? I would be screwed if I turned my wheels to the full lock position doing 50
. Just kidding that would be fun for about a second or two though. Thanks.

my car does it to but not slow it sqeals for that, i was just thinking like when you are turned full lock and you mash the gas and the front tires hook and they hop, yes 50 miles an hour and turning is fun i lost control the other night while doing it, what ever gets your thrills right
i cleaned off the inside off my rear wheels and painted the drum face gold cause it had a bit of rust that i sanded off

whoops i must be bad at directions, i didnt use a lift as recomended, but the car was secured fro rolling
, btw thanks for the pen lon i use it every day
, the install took my slow butt 30 minutes to do with a socket wrench and no jacking up of the car, havent driven enough to tell any major benifit but i like what i felt on a back road tonight, less of that folding and droping down of the out side wheel of the turn, cant wait to get nitty and gritty back home, we all have those fun fun roads

Well it took me almost an hour to get mine in. It must be defective. I want a new one.
Just kidding. It did take me almost an hour to get it in, but that was because the front of my car was a little out of whack. I just couldnt get the outside bolts in, but with a little work (and not to the wonderbar) I got it. I had read about how great these things were, but I thought, "can they really be that great?" You're damn skippy. The addition of that bar did away with all of my steering slop as well as the rut-jumping issue I had been having since lowering the car. I took it out and spanked it a little, but am definetley looking forward to the next Auto-X day now. This thing looks as great as it works too.
Thanks Lon, great quality product at an even better price. I've seen the OEM ones go on ebay for $65 or more. Nothing like getting a superior product for less money.

Just got finished ordering mine.
Can't wait to get my wonderbar, it's going in a along with every other front suspension and steering part u can think of, including TDS' front and rear swaybars, greasable bushings and endlinks. Should be a whole different car when it's done.

Hey Lon, how big is to big on the swaybar?
My Spohn 1 5/16" is very close at the ends. I'm pretty sure it I get any deflection on the bushings, there going to hit
.
The bushings are new, but I'm sure if I hit a bump there going to knock.
I'll have to post some pics soon, but you can't get the tip of a screw driver between them.
No chance to drive her, It's a race only setup & I'm in the middle of some major fabracation on the rear. I'm looking at least a month before a test ride.

Thanks for posting that picture and information. I have no way of verifying the fit of that aftermarket sway bar, since I haven't purchased or seen one. I'm glad it fit without modification. If you wanted, it appears you could gain clearance by inserting either washers or better yet, my e/t Improver Plates (TDS 201210) as a spacer between the Steering Brace and the that particular aftermarket sway bar. The e/t Improver Plates are a pair of 1/8" and 1/4" aluminum plates. If you wanted to purchase a set of JUST 1/8" or 1/4" plates for the purpose of gaining clearance, just let me know and I'll put together a package of matching thickness.
Thanks,

ok..ok..ok
If I buy this for my self at christmas time, i'l never here the end of it. I printed out the web page and wrote down the customer service number.
She says she and my family never know what to get me. Now they will. This would sure beat the hell out of a couple pair of Levis.
Have to be carefull thou. Masive vet bill and my 4th gen console should arrive today. Hmmm have to work out the timing.

Hi All,
Merry Christmas,
I installed the WonderBar, BMR STB, and Sphon SFCs on my 82 bird that has a 350TPI motor. The restore project was completed on my 82 Bird back in Oct. The steering on the car is great, no slop and dead right on. The Bird drives better now then it every has. I have one problem to solve, has nothing to do with the TDS Wonderbar.
I'm getting very poor MPG. No codes, etc, run smooth etc, I guess its time to take it to the GM dealer.
