Panhard bar bushing won't come out
I bought new poly bushings for my panhard bar, as the old ones were in bad shape. I pulled the bar out, and I can't get the stupid bushings out at all. I tried placing a socket the size of the metal insert thats inside the bushing, and beating it with a hammer. After a few minutes, the insert moved about 1/16 of an inch! What the hell is that? Do I need a press to take it out, or what?
By the way, I had the panhard bar mounted on one end, and loose on the other at one point, and the amount of flex when I try to twist it is incredible. I don't think it would flex lengthwise, which is the direction it needs to have resistance in, but dam, that thing is pretty weak.
One more question...I was thinking of ordering an adjustable panhard bar from Spohn. Does anyone know if the bushings he uses are the same ones that go on the stock bar? I don't like the red bushings, so I was thinking of waiting til I order his bar and putting my black bushings in the new bar.

This is honestly no bull ****. If you have access to a torch then use it to light the bushing on fire. Let the bushing burn for approximately 5 min then put it out with a hose. The bushing will literally disintigrate out of the pan hard bar. Just make sure you are outside because this will make alot of smoke. Hope this helps!

Take a drill and drill holes all around the perimeter through the rubber. This will give the rubber room to collapse, and you'll be able to push the bushing out by hand.
