I am away from home and don't have any manuals with me - Brake Light Ground Location?
I have a brake light problem that is whenever I apply the brakes, only the 3rd brake light comes on.
I don't think it is the brake switch because the brake lights must be getting a signal if the 3rd brake light is responding.
I really do not think all the bulbs blew at one time.
I checked the fuse and it's fine, and the hazards are working fine (run off the same fuse).
So I imagine the only probable culprit left would be a bad ground. The problem is that I am away from home and don't have any manuals with me. Can anyone please help me out by guiding me where the main brake light ground is located?
Thanks.

Actually it probably is the switch. The brake switch on the pedal is actually two switches, one for the regular lights and one for the third brake light. This is so if the switch breaks then you still have brake lights somewhere. It's a little hard to get under the dash to check it, lots of upside-down with you head down there like you're in a space capsule and such, but that's what I'd check first.
Since I have the manual I'll make things a little easier on you and tell you that the three wire connector going into the switch has yellow, lt blue, and orange wires going into it. The orange wire is power in, lt blue goes to your standard brake lights, and the yellow one goes to the third brake light.
Hope that helps!
