I am thinking the panhard rod is the lower one and the top one is the track bar brace. Should the rod be straight? Mine curves to the back of the car in the center and seems to have a twist to it. If this is incorrect has anyone tried to straighten one?

 

It should be straight. Either buy an aftermarket one or pick up a stock one somewhere for next to nothing. I wouldn't bother trying to straighten it. You should be able to buy an aftermarket non-adjustable with poly bushings for pretty cheap.
