Bushings??? A few Questions!
Bushings??? A few Questions!
I just ordered a set of poly bushings this week. Now for the questions? First one, how hard or easy to install them myself? I am good about doing stuff myself on my car from engine work to new fuel pump. Second, I was told that the tranny mount in the kit fits only the manual transmission and that if you were to put it on an auto that the drivesahaft would be tilted and not run good. It is the Energy Suspension kit. If anyone has any knowledge or advice about this that would be awesome. My main question was the install. Easy, hard. I was told it was a pretty tough job. I am up too the task I just want to know what to look forward too!
Thanks

It's not hard, just time consuming. The hardest part is going to be getting the old, rusty ones out of there. As far as the tranny mount goes I bought the Energy Suspension piece and it didn't fit so I returned it and bought a Prothane unit. The Prothane mount went in just like I was installing a stock rubber one, nice and easy.
If you'r doing the control arms, take them out and have someone with a press put the new bushings in them for you, along with ball joints wile you'r at it.
Not hard, and well worth the time it takes.
