Rear Shock Removal, help ASAP

Someone Please help. 1 of my rear shocks is rusted really bad. I did the other side with out any problems. I stared using a vise grip then the top portion broke off. Any suggestions will help thanks folks.

I was able to turn the bolt like 2 full turns. the notch right above the bolt broke off. Ill mayby try an air hammer but am not sure what will work best.

Put your Vise-Grips on the exposed shaft of the shock underneath the car, and use a ratchet and socket on the nut.

i removed mine about 3 days ago and had to do the same. hehehehehe, i just took a pair of vise grips and held on real tight while a friend loosed the bolts.

Thanks guys. That worked for the right side but had to cut the bolt on the other side. That friggin bolt took almost an hour to hack off. I got my lakewood c arms, dropzone springs and kyb shock in. took me 2 days and will need 1 more for my adj. panhard bar and poly torque arm bushing. Thanks again.

you thinkthats ong my cars been off the road for 2 weeks now. i have the whole thing apart/ i'm waiting for the hotchkis springs,kyb struts and shocks, spohn lca's, spohn panhard rod, new busings ever where, my new 36/24 mm power coated sway bars, and some more stuff can't remeber it all- oh and i cant find a 4th gen rear
