new suspension supposed to feel like this?
Just installed the following this weekend:
Spohn LCA Relocation Brackets
Spohn Adj. LCA
Spohn Adj. Panhead bar
Spohn th-350 adj. torque arm and crossmember
Ground Control coilover system, front weight jack.
Eibach ESS springs in front and suspension specialists blue coil 175 springs in rear.
Poly Tranny mount
KYB gas adjust rear, gr-2 front
Let me add, THE most back breaking job done without a lift.
But anyway, I drove it home today, and I was just wondering how hard of a ride this is supposed to be? Its not so much that I feel every bumb in the road, but it feels like the motor and tranny are welded to the frame. Im guessing the poly tranny mount has something to do with it. I actually like the hard ride, I just want to make sure it is all normal....
By the way, I lowered the car so theres about 1.75 inch rear and 1 front - clearance to the wheel well. Might go .25 lower if the springs dont settle.
I have pics of the install once I get my camera back.
Thanks - Joe

the poly will kinda makes things alittle firmer and u feel a tad more noise when driving, thats the feel i got after most of my mods. i am sure the poly engine mounts firm up things quite a bit, i am still using the stock rubber mounts and a poly tranny mount.

yep...sounds just fine. Should feel like it drives straighter, harder, and the ***-end should feel like its right underneathe your seat on corners. Way to go. But, the downside is that it will be a kidney buster. Thats the way we like it though.
I did keep some rubber bushings here and there but I did use mostly poly.
Wait a while before messing with lowering more. I used the prokit and have only minor clearance probs due to SFCs and one stupid bolt on my catalytic converter thats hanging too low. But I'll only scrape a tad on speed bumps and inclines if I dont take them at an angle.
But...you may want to add SFC's in the future. So I'd get a better feel of your new suspension before you lower any more.

Thanks for the info. Yeah im actually having my father make some SFC and weld them in next weekend. Hes a professional welder so might as well take advantage of that. But I just lowered the front about 1/4 of an inch more, so its just a tiny bit lower than the rear. I been driving it all day today and Im already used to the new feel, I love it. Surprisingly I havent hit anything under the car yet, I just take inclines slow and go up on an angle and it seems to work fine. Im just worried about my brand new air dam in front
