Engine: Stock L98 with bolt ons.
Transmission: Stock rebuilt tranny with 2k stall and cooler.
I recently bought a pair of Prostar XPs and without tires they weigh 17-17.5 lbs on a bathroom scale(not completely accurate but all I had). The 16" Snypers weighed in at 20-21 lbs w/o tires so that saved 3-4lb rotational mass per rim, every little bit counts.

[Edit: both rims weighed were 16x8s]
