center link and idler arm

i cannot figure out how to get my center link and my idler arm off of my 90 iroc. all of the bolts are off, but the darn things wont budge. ive tried everything from manipulating the steering to a hammer and it still will not move an inch. i spent 3 hours trying to get them off and needless to say, im very mad

anyone have any tips or ideas??

You need the right tool for the job. A tie-rod separator tool(pickle fork). Those joints are tapered so they get pressed into place.
A quick search on google....

Yep; see this message of mine for additional info: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=186554 At least you don't have to separate the idler arm from the center link! Did you mark the location of the idler-arm-to-frame bolts (to allow for a "close" approximation to an alignment)?
