2.45 60ft's Need Help.

Hey Everyone.

Well Ive been takin my IROC out to the races lately and ive found since Ive made some changes I can't 60ft for ****.

Here are the cars specs.

1986 IROC-Z

350ci (300hp) Th-350/2500Stall/10bolt Posi with 3:23 Gears.

Spohn Th-350 Swap TQ arm -1' pinion angle, Lakewood LCA's, Stock Panhard, CE 50/50 Drag Shocks, Stock Springs all around, Stock replacement Struts.

16inch IROC-Z rims with Goodyear Eagle GT2's 245/50/16 all around. (30-40PSI)

I can usally stall the converter to 2200-2300RPM when I launch and spin like crazy to a 2.45-2.50 60ft. with a 14.4@102MPH Uncorrected @3600ft.

Ive Tried differnt launch RPM's differnt Tire PSI and even ET's Streets. (which caused a HUGE bog)

Comments Suggestion's please.

lol, i did a crap load of suspension also, and still cant hook up at my local track, but it seems to hook better on the streets. maybe at the track i give it to much gas.

maybe alittle more negative pinion angle, might want to try that.

Whatever you do, don't go to the track with anywhere near 40 psi expecting to hook.

unhook the front sway bar, or the left side. air bags in the rear coils, slicks, SFCs

Well I have SFC's, Tried Slicks (ET Streets) and I really dont wanna unhook the swaybar.

So I guess its pretty much the tires then? Thats is what I was thinking, cause you would think with the Spohn Arm and Drag Shocks with LCA's and SFC's it would hookup.

the torque arm, LCAs, and SFCs are probably allowing more power to get to the pavement making it a little more difficult.

here is what i would try, but cant guarantee it would work. first, set the torque arm for more negative pinion angle. always run the tires at 32-35 psi. try stalling it up to 1000-1500 and experiment in that rpm range. if you havent improved after all that, i guess its time to spend a little $$$. buy lca relocation brackets and an air bag in the rear passenger spring. you could try 255/50 or 265/50 rear tires. youd have to do a little research for what brands and models and stuff of tires, but i bet theres a better street tire out there.
