steering ?
Not to long ago I redid my entire steering.(tierods/sleaves,ball joints, centerlink, idler arm, gear box, and saybar link kit) pitman arm is the only thing I know of left that is original.
well my steering was real bad b4 all that was replaced, as it was all shot and had alot of movement.
I replaced it all a wile back and got an alignment done, but it is still floaty when driving past 45mph. If I get the steering wheel positiond just right it will drive a good 1/2 mile down the road at 60mph straight, but it just seems to want to float around a bit, Im constantly having to move the wheel back and forth a hair.
the steering is no where near as smooth as my mother in laws intrepid.
Now I know these cars are not a family car and dont handle like one in any way, but is this normal its been so long since my first f-body I cant remember(9yrs)?
the only thing suspension/steering wise wrong with my car still is the front springs are sagged, and my front tires need balanced(vibration up around 65 sux) but would those cause it to be floaty?
BTW my rear tires are both 245/50zr16's and my fronts are both 235/55r16's. stupid used tire place(cant afford new right now) didnt have 245/50's but said as long as both front tires are the same it would be fine. could they cause this prob?
