Less HP, more suspension...

I've been looking over some websites and seeing people with ridiculous amounts of horsepower and it doesn't seem like their times are that great. 600RWHP and only running 11s?

I mean, logistically, how fast can you run on a 10.5 inch wide tire and ALOT of suspension work, it seems like alot of guys just throw in as much HP they can, throw on some radials...but never really go into perfecting the suspension to put it down....i mean, it's got to be more then just tires and HP....

shhhh!! your giving away the fast guys' secrets. actually mike crews is a good example of what a good suspension will do for you, hes dynoed at like 299 rwhp and something like 415 rwtq and turning real low 12's like 12.0x (somebody correct me if im wrong) but anyway he has the full spohn suspension i believe. i dont know the guy but have read his insanely long thread and with that suspension he gets that torque to hook and hes gone as evidenced by his 12.0x and all this with a ltr setup. hell he might of even dipped into the 11's by now, has he posted recently? but yea good suspension setup is good for at least half a second maybe more depending on the condition of yours, and the more power you put into the motor the more your suspension will help.
