Need help with Parts List

I just got a 92 Z28 with the L98. It has 162K plus miles on it. The suspension is faded to say the least. When going over speed humps the front end is ok and the rear is a dead brick.

My hopes are to tighten up the cars susp. to handle great in the turns while still keeping a somewhat smooth daily driver ride. I will not be building a monster engine.

What all do I need to tighten her up and get a better ride?

What kind of:
New coils
New Shocks
New SFC
New Tower Brace
New Shocks

Keep in mind I have a tight budget of around 500-700. List the mods in order if you want.

Have fun

Chris

Unless you get a hell of a deal, $500-700 will get you new springs and shocks and that's about it.

You'll need new bushings, tie rods, etc. Do a search for "suspension rebuild" and you'll get a ton of info and parts that other guys have used. Click the link in my sig and see the parts I used, this will give you a great ride:

KYBs
Eibach
Moog
Energy Suspension
BMR
Spohn
Hotchkis

Good luck with your rebuild!

Ed,

thats a great list but what is what and in what order is it best to replace? I would think that shocks and springs go hand and hand as the first step.

Shocks/struts, A-arm bushings, ball joints, and the often overlooked motor mounts while you have it all apart. Then you can do other parts as time allows without having to tear into anything major...all else is pretty much simple bolt on stuff.
