Maximum Tire size
Maximum Tire size
Hello all,
I am new to this forum and have a question for the collective out there. I have a '86 IROC-Z stock suspension and, I have a set of 18" 01 Jaguar XJR asteroid style rims I was going to put on, I also have a set of four Continental Contisport 245/45ZR18 tires to go along with them. Could anyone tell me if this size tire will fit in the wheel wells without hitting the fender, if I need to make any slight modifications to compensate for the castor causing the tires to touch the inner fender shields thats not a problem. I am most worried about there not being enough suspension travel causing damage to the fender/quarter lips.
Thanks everyone,
Darren O'Brien

Depends of the offset of the wheels you're putting on. I have the 18" version of the IROC wheel with 275/40-18" on all four corners. I've lowered the IROC one inch and rolled the fender wells a little but really have no problem.
If you can, do a test fit to make sure.
